Dave is a senior leader and mentors our in-house IT specialists at WePurpose.
Dave, from Inverness, joined after a career ‘fixing planes and mending engines’ in the RAF, before moving on to managing an entire fleet of aircraft as Fleet Manager. As well as mentoring the in-house team, Dave now enjoys building solutions for clients to make their jobs easier.
Dave’s wealth of leadership and operational experience enables him to work with clients on the strategic implementation of IT requirements.
As a Senior Mentor, Dave focuses on partnering with clients to demystify IT and improve digital literacy.
“When things work well, you won’t know we are here.” When things go wrong, Dave advises clients to firstly ‘take a deep breath’. He believes that when issues arise, clients are human and need space to process and vent. He then gently moves on to find out what has changed, before working to make things right.
On working at WePurpose, Dave believes in the difference that can be made to young people in terms of their work and overall wellbeing. “As a learning company, we actively promote failure. We encourage each other to try things and support learning. I believe this is why we are exceptional at what we do. Our differentiator is our social purpose, which shows clients that we believe in what we are doing.”
When not in front of a computer, Dave can be found on or near a rugby pitch, or teaching children safe cycling.
